Cookies, clubs, and grade 8’s: the three were brought together on October 13th, Thursday, in the cafeteria for WGSS’s annual Club Day.
Club representatives gathered in the cafeteria at 8:30 a.m. to set up and greet the incoming grade 8’s with warm welcomes. There were variety of clubs from Kindler’s Society to Robotics, and Mathletics to Art Club. Each booth was decorated with posters and brochures. They were all seeking new members, grades 8 to 12.
The GQ’s guided the grade 8’s around the cafeteria to be introduced to the different clubs. Each student had an exciting scavenger hunt sheet in hand as they toured. The grade 8’s even had the opportunity to play floor hockey and Frisbee in the corner! Club day was a great opportunity for students to learn about the clubs available to them and for club representatives to advertise as well.
