The Senior Girls soccer team has had a great season so far and hopes to qualify to the Fraser Valley Championship. The team which is made up of 17 girls from varying grade levels, has worked hard and are determined to go as far as they can.
At this point in the season, the girls have won and lost 2 games and also have one tie. The girls needed to win their game against Yale Secondary which was held this afternoon to solidify their third place position. Ms Miller is the team’s Head Coach and she couldn’t be happier with how the team’s fared so far.
“They have shown a lot of depth and grit throughout the season.”

While every member of the team is a key part of the team’s success, there was one player in particular who showed true determination and skill.
” Our keeper, Shaleyn Mcfayden, has been an all-star all season.”
The Fraser Valley Championships start next week, and if the girls win their game today, Walnut Grove will be well represented among many schools and soccer players at the Fraser Valleys. We wish all the best of luck to the girls and congratulate them on a great season so far!
UPDATE: The team won their game and is heading to the Fraser Valleys
